Born in Warsaw, Poland, Cho Linska currently lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland. Her artistic practice fluidly navigates the intersections of image, object, installation, and collaborative action. Cho Linska’s work surfaces in traditional galleries just as readily as it permeates subcultural festivals or claims niche spaces within the public realm. In her pieces, laser cut figurative elements and symbols collide with everyday glass objects, spray paint, synthetic hair and mycelium. At times, this opulent clash of materials is electromechanically animated and illuminated. This serves as a testament to Cho’s deeply rooted passion for DIY culture and smoking soldering irons.
